Episode One: The Beginning

This is where we meet our adventuring party.

Having met in Waterdeep and traveled together up the Long Road to Red Larch, there is a little bit of getting to know each other; though none know why the others are traveling. They become friendly enough to accompany each other to the Swinging Sword Tavern and around town.

Around town, Henry and Menelwen find the local temple of worship. Inside resides a Priest of Tempus and an Acolyte of the Goddess Sune known as Limura.

Sune is a goddess of beauty, love, and sex. "Love no one more than yourself except Sune."

Henry asks both of them if they'd heard anything about winged beasts that could possibly spirit away humans. The Priest did not know, but pointed them in the direction of the Knights of the Feathergale Spire. With this information (and Henry doing his best to not be flustered by the beautiful acolyte) the two of them went to rejoin the party.

Meanwhile, Vega and Thok meet and speak to the constable who informs them about there being a bandit problem up the road. They had hit a circus. Given his duties in Red Larch, he himself could not go but requested the party put a stop to it if possible.

Fortunately, it's on the way to Feathergale Spire.

The group meets up and retires for the night in the inn with plans to set out in the morning. They meet Kaylessa, the barmaid who is very much like a motherly figure (to a point she gave Henry stew instead of ale). They share a meal and turn in for the night.

The next morning, the party sets off to the spire but to hopefully take care of the bandit problem as well.

After some time walking, the party sees a small camp. Henry stealths on up ahead and sees a bear in a cage as well as a group of bandits.

Using sleight of hand, Henry picks the lock on the bear's cage and sends the camp into a panic as the bear lunges out and starts attacking the bandits.

The party, hearing the commotion joins in. The bandits are eventually killed, the bear (as spoken to by Vega) goes free, but it is clear that they are not fully prepared for the trip to the spire. After a thorough looting, the party heads back to Red Larch to sell their loot and inform the constable that the bandits have been taken care of.

They hear voices alongside the road, planning on attacking. It ended up being two goblins that were easily dispatched before they could even try anything.

So back to Red Larch to rest and prepare...

Meet the Characters

Thok

Race: Half-Orc
Class:Fighter
Alignment: Lawful Good

Other facts: Thok is a Member of the Wardens.
He is the best tank out of the party, and the voice of reason.
Always has a ready action to punch moles.

Vega

Race: Human
Class:Druid
Alignment: True Neutral

Other facts:
Vega is a far traveler, in search of the Circle of the Scarlet Moon.
He can and has shapeshifted into several creatures including a mole, a spider, and a panther so far.

He tends to be a bit...reckless at times. And will always balance the scales between good and evil.

Henry

Race: Human
Class: Rogue
Alignment: Neutral Good

Other facts: Henry is twelve year old street urchin after the death of his parents and kidnapping of his sister by sky beasts. He's searching for his sister-dead or alive.
He is easily flustered by beautiful women.
Henry dislikes Theamen greatly but is beginning to warm to the paladin.

Menelwen Galanodel

Race: Elf
Class:Wizard
Alignment: Neutral Good

Other facts: She is a desert elf seeking information on those who caused the massacre of her tribe.
Menelwen enjoys picking on Henry quite as bit, mostly because he's a small human and she as an elf is much older.
She has also become rather close to Theamen due to their shared interest in magic and closeness (relatively) of age.

NPC's

Theamen

Race: Human
Class: Paladin with some levels in wizard
Alignment: ? Good

Other Facts: He is a knight of Mystra and uses magic despite the wishes of his father to abandon the practice. Theamen tends to be one of the voices of reason in the group.
It was discovered that he's in fact a bladesinger, which seems impossible given it's an elf only thing and he's 100% human. He discussed it with Menelwen later, revealing that his father is also a paladin of Mystra, but his mother was an entertainer. He had an inclination towards magic, so an elvish swordsmith trained him in the ways of bladesinging.
He is rather close with Menelwen due to their shared interest, but gets along well with Henry, Thok and Vega as well.

Kaylessa: Is the barmaid of the Swinging Sword Tavern in Red Larch. She is a sweet matronly lady who has given several quests to the party. After everything went down with the Believers, she assumed the role of Mayor within Red Larch.

Grund: A simple minded half-orc that the party came across when investigating the sink hole in Red Larch. He worked for the Believers until befriending the adventurers. After the exposure of the corrupt nature of the Believers, Grund returned to selling pickles in Red Larch. He has a particular love of shiny things.

Luka: Is a male cat that was found when the party was leaving Feathergale Spire the first time. He quickly bonded with Henry as his familiar. He has wing markings on his back. It is later revealed that he is a tressym. Luka has a higher intelligence than most of the party.

Savra Bellabronta: Is one of the Feathergale Spire Knights. She was the one to greet the adventurers when they first arrived. Henry had an unfortunate charisma roll and ended up staring at her chest. She has since regarded him coolly. Savra approached Thok about joining the Howling Hatred Cult.

Rosette: Is Henry's sister. She was found in Feathergale Spire when they returned to report about what happened in the Sacred Stone Monastery. She is an incredibly powerful fanatic of Yan-C-Bin and seems to be a leader in the Howling Hatred Cult. She was last seen making her escape with Henry through a Dimension Door.

Introduction

The first signs are always small: bandits on the roads, pirates on the Dessarin River, monster sightings throughout the Sumber Hills -- all too close to the lands of civilized folk.

To top things off, a delegation from the Dwarven city of Mirabar has gone missing. Are these events all some bizarre coincidence, or is there a deeper reason behind them?

Chaos is spreading across the Forgotten Realms... how will you adventurers prevent absolute devastation?
